Assistant Manager – Fashion Retailer
Location: Mahon Point, Cork
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexing to 39 hours during high trade or seasonal periods)

We are a leading ladies’ fashion retailer known for our wide range of stylish clothing and accessories. Our store at Mahon Point, Cork, offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Store Manager.
Role Overview:
As the Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, driving sales, and ensuring a high level of customer service. You will be responsible for motivating the team, managing stock levels, and maintaining a visually appealing store. This position is ideal for a proactive and commercially-minded individual with a passion for fashion and retail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Sales: Ensure that exceptional customer service is delivered at all times, with a focus on understanding customer needs and maximising sales opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Assist in managing, training, and motivating the sales team to achieve store targets and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Store Operations: Support in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Stock Management: Assist in managing stock levels and replenishment, ensuring that all products are well presented, and liaising with suppliers as needed.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure that the store layout and displays are regularly refreshed to maintain brand standards and optimise product presentation.
- Performance Monitoring: Work with the Store Manager to monitor store performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to improve results.
- Customer Engagement: Foster relationships with customers, addressing any queries or concerns and ensuring a welcoming environment.
Contracted Hours:
- Basic weekly contract: 35 hours
- Flexibility to increase up to 39 hours during high trade periods (e.g., promotional events, holidays, or high season).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management , preferably in a fashion environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- A customer-centric approach with a focus on achieving sales targets
- Knowledge of fashion trends and a keen eye for detail
- Flexibility to work additional hours during peak trading periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
