Job Title: Stock Room Manager

Reports To: Store Manager

Role Overview

As Stock Room Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations. You’ll manage deliveries, ensure efficient stock flow to the shop floor, and maintain excellent stockroom standards. This is a vital, fast-paced role suited to someone who takes pride in running an efficient operation and enjoys working as part of a wider retail team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the stockroom, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all deliveries, returns, and transfers

• Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and sales team to ensure stock availability aligns with store needs and promotional activity

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stockroom environment

• Implement and maintain effective stock control processes, minimising stock loss and errors

• Support regular stock takes and audits, ensuring accurate record-keeping

• Coach and lead any stockroom team members or part-time staff during peak periods

• Coordinate with head office or warehouse teams for stock-related queries or issues

• Ensure all health and safety policies are followed in the stockroom

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Comfortable using stock management systems and in-store technology

• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

• Physically able to handle manual stock tasks safely

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Desirable

• Previous experience in retail or fashion stock management

• Experience supervising or training others in a retail setting

• Understanding of visual merchandising and store stock flow
